We all know this but this is what you will never read in the pro-opposition Malaysiakini because the scummy opposition propagandists there would not want you to know the truth.
Wikileaks have exposed that US diplomatic cables to Washington DC have reported that a Pakatan Rakyat win the next general election would be a disaster to Malaysia.
The US envoys here have told their bosses that Pakatan Rakayt simply does not have economic formulators.
In short, it means if the Pakatan Rakyat forms the next federal government, we are in for a real serious economic disaster.
This information was obtained from a leaked US Department cable by Wikileaks, which added that the lacked of economic expertise in Pakatan “weighs on them as a coalition.”
It also said that this was due to “Pakatan’s failure to give them high wages” and that “politics” could have driven them away.
This is not new to most of us. We have seen the half-baked Alternative Budget put up hurriedly by the Opposition. It is so bad that the Opposition quickly stopped talking about it after it was presented to the media.
The opposition economic expert, or so he claims, is a failed businessman. This portal have enough documented evidence to show you. Until now, he has not refuted the evidence we have uploaded to show he is a fraud.
We also know the kind of bull that Pakatan has been churning out. Anwar Ibrahim can said that if he takes over Putrajaya, the price of oil would be lowered the very next day.
One must be medically sick or maybe also sexually sick to believe such an incredible piece of bullshit.
We all know that it is a free for all now. In Penang, Lim Guan Eng screws the compulsory environment impact assessment (EIA) by announcing the go ahead for his tunnel and theme park.
Although both projects would have serious ecological risks, he has given the environmentalists the middle finger and prioritized pleasing the developers.
How does one explain building a theme park near a dam and water catchment area and just one road up to Teluk Bahang from the city, with limited parking space at Teluk Bahang.
Guan Eng is creating a monster headache.
In Kelantan and Kedah, the two-PAS states, the leaders are more concerned about segregating sexes at supermarkets than carrying out a real investment drive.
These guys maybe Islamic experts but they have zero economic knowledge. And these are the guys that the DAP wants us to vote into. Come on, are we serious?
PKR? That’s a pathetic story because their supreme leader is busy screwing China Dolls. And of course, Tom Yam too. Occassionally, men too, of course.
But of course, so many people have been brain washed that they will NOT believe in what we tell you.
You have chosen to believe what you want to believe. So many DAP lovers just want to change the government.
Well, don’t say we didn’t warn you,. If you still do not believe us, check with Dr Mahathir Mohamad – who stupidly made Anwar a Finance Minister.
On being appointed, this Malay Studies graduate bought himself a copy of “Economics Made Simple” .
We are NOT making this up and of course, too many Pakatan Lovers are too young to know that when Malaysia was facing a financial crisis – Anwar recommended a higher interest for loans!
So many Chinaman businessmen would have gone to the graves if Dr Mahathir did not stop that idiot!

Haha, nice leaks. Even the US doesn’t believe in Anwar’s merit to actually become the ruler of Malaysia.
Actually the book the he reads (as Selangor’s econ advisor) should be titled “Economics for Dummies”.
The Felda-specific Pakatan manifesto promises the following:
•The dismantling of Felda Plantations Sdn Bhd, which is increasingly being seen as so profit-motivated as to ignore the welfare of settlers
•Intakes of new settlers
•A housing scheme for second and third generation settlers
•An end to the manipulation of palm oil grading at the expense of settlers
•The clearing of settlers’ debts to Felda
– Incentives to settlers who reseed their plantations independently
I would support that and even better old-age pension for all, a national health scheme, better service in government hospitals rather than long waiting times, free education for all from primary to university, rights for all workers to unionise and greater freedoms to strike, re-nationalisation of strategic industries and utilities, an excellent public transport system, unemployment insurance, etc.
1. Let’s be practical. There’s only limited land. How to grant new settlers?
2. Who says the welfare of settlers are being ignored. Not so from my 3rd party observation. They, the 1st generation are lepaking everyday with the harvesting managed by Felda by employing Bangla workers. The price is good now which allows for the harvesting on commission basis. Net income for the lepaking 1st generation Felda settlers is around RM5k pm.(isn’t that good? Beats toiling in the city) With Govt worrying that the 2nd generation may lost track with the Bohsia and laziness problem, they set up Rakan Muda centre….some are even paid allowance to attend courses ..mind you,,getting paid just to attend courses, so what more is lacking?
3. Some housing schemes are already seen in deployment..so what is news?
4. On manipulation of oil grading, it is subjective. In every nooks and corners of the world there are bad hats whom cheats..from the local pasar malam traders to shopkeepers. Cheatings if any were probably made some felda workers in isolated incidents. If Felda were to really cheat, the Felda settlers would not have it so good and laid back as they are now.
In 1995, price was cheap, so Felda assisted by subsidising a bit here and there. In 1997 the recession, they had it good as price has increased and maintained till now.
Now even better as the prices have shot up higher.
5. As for the debt, it is a non issue. The money was given to them as start up seed, to purchase land, interest free I suspect. Repayment by deduction of profit. Now majority of them have fully paid it off and now rightful owners of the said land. If it were to be written off, one can imagine the opposition repeating the jargon “it is our money they are writing off”
6. Heard of cases where there were some adventurous planters in the hope of a larger margin, sans the felda margin have replanted the oil palm themselves by purchasing seeds from Chinese companies. End of the day they fumbled, and Felda the ever forgiving came in to help.
This is why Malaysians would be better off if they are more thankful of any help received, whether in the past and present.
Much in the country has gone haywire presently because of lack of appreciation and gratitude practice by the society nowadays.
I have begun to educate my children the basics in gratitude for they are the next generation of Malaysia.

Old viagra CSL has nothing to say about BN economic policies, whereby RM500 million are given to a senator (appointed, not elected) to rear 3,000 cows and buy 2 condos and overseas holiday with family….
All who support Pakatan must sound the alarm and win over those who voted for BN in GE12, to vote for Pakatan come GE13! Then there is the younger generation that just turned 21 after GE12. There are 3 to 4 layers of them by now. Get them to vote for Pakatan! The young blood who are IT-savvy are the fresh hope of the new breed of Malaysians. The young and new voters must be directed to know and see how they can be a force to be reckoned with come GE13! All Pakatan supporters must spread out to round up stronger support for Pakatan in order to boot out tyrannical UMNO/BN for good! All justice-lovers and all who are anti-tyranny must act now and fast! Time is getting short and running out!
THINK
It may be called cheating, if end of the day the heavenly promises to these 2nd generation settlers were not fulfilled.
How many promises made before in GE 12 been fulfilled?
How many people were left high and dry thereafter?
In what why the BN been tyrannical beats me. They have been so generous to the felda settlers.
Every year, even before the uprising of opposition gimmick some FOC money were given to the settlers – before Hari Raya and start of school term.
And also wonder how can UMNO/BN be tyrannical, when a person who is undergoing a court case is allowed to go overseas –isn’t his passport impounded? And Bersih supporters were given nice free meals with tents equipped with fans etc.
One has to be careful of the opposition jargon gimmick.
Please double check/think first.
The facts and figures are out there during the past few elections and Putrajaya with a small voter base of less than 10,000 voters has 1 MP whilst Kapar with over 112,000 voters has 1 MP..what logic is this EC Chairman and if this what you call a level playing field, with phantom voters and postal voters,it is better not to have any general election.Just look at Bk.Bintang,Ceras,Ampang etc.each easily has over 30,000 voters yet with only 1 MP..
Stop the Gerrymandering Election Commission, which Bersih Malaysians know are under UMNO/BN.
salah it’s “Economis of Dummies “
While my gut feeling agrees with the assertion that Pakatan does not have clear economic formulations, before I say anything further, can you please post a screen cap of the Wikileaks as evidence.
Also, I understand from reliable sources that that failed economic expert is a neo-liberal and neo-liberalism with its market-fundamentalist ideology, has been the reason for the collapsing economies in the west and the major reason for the discontent which fueled public discontent in Tunisia and Egypt.
However, what they’ll now get is even more neo-liberalism which will cause even more economic misery for the masses.
Neo-liberalism is an economic ideology based on free market, small government policies advocated by Frederick von Hayek, the Chicago School economists and Ludwig von Mises.
It came into prominence after Margaret Thatcher became the prime minister of the U.K. and Ronald Reagan became U.S. president and it spread worldwide especially after the end of the Cold War and the spread of the Internet.
What these leaders did was to attack the workers’ unions in their respective countries which had ensured that workers had a decent union wage. They cut back social programmes, such as social security, socialised medicine, free education till university and many other social benefits which had been won through hard struggle and sacrifice by trade unions and social reformers.
Thatcher privatised state-owned railways, public transport services, telecommunications, utilities, postal services and so on.
When I visited the U.K. in 1997, 18 years after graduation and 18 years after Thatcher came to power, I found the now privatised bus service in Greater Manchester to be decidedly worse than when buses were operated by Greater Manchester Transport.
If neo-liberals had free reign, conditions for workers in the U.K. would go back be back to Charles Dickens’ days.
The blacks in the U.S fought for and won equal rights and affirmative action programmes to help them catch up after years of being discriminated against.
Well neo-liberals are dead opposed to affirmative action programmes and anti-discrimination laws, so would roll these back if they can.
Before World War II, workers in the U.S. fought for an won an eight-hour workday. Well, if neo-liberals had free reign, they’d undo that all and revert to 18 hour days.
It also should be noted that neo-liberalism has been aggressively promoted as propaganda to justify globalisation and open borders, especially in third world, where it would allow bigger, wealthier and more powerful transnational corporations to take over even the strategic industries, including telecommunications and utilities of these countries – basically a form of modern-day colonialism.
That’s why I despise neo-liberals.
I’m sorry, but have to disagree with you. The success of liberal policies can only be compared to big government initiatives if it is given a fair chance and a full hand. You cannot have Austrian economics (liberal) and a socialist, big govt, welfare state policy at the same time. There has never been a time in the past 100 years when Austrian economic policies have a had a free hand to implement the changes needed, except maybe in some small pockets of economy. For example, explain why the prices of electronic goods (fully privatized free market) constantly become cheaper and cheaper and increase in quality as well, as a free market should be? And then compare that to the price of education, health and all the other industries that big government gets involved in…
i think it is unfair to compare with electronic goods with price of education/health…
even comparing car development with computer is not fair…
compare health policy from foreign county to our country could be better. as another country may fully sponsored your cancer treatment to the last bill.. but half of your pay is paid to tax.
“The success of liberal policies can only be compared to big government initiatives if it is given a fair chance and a full hand. You cannot have Austrian economics (liberal) and a socialist, big govt, welfare state policy at the same time.”
Where did I say you could.
I studied in the U.K. during the 1970s when such social democratic policies were in force and prices of things there were very affordable even for a Malaysian.
Medical & hospital treatment was free, dental treatment was free, bus fare was affordable, I paid only 6.50 pounds a week for my bedsit apartment, train fares on British Rail were cheap, and everyone was entitled to an old age pension after 65, irrespective of whether they had worked for the government, the private sector, were self-employed or unemployed.
Between the two I support social democratic policies and we must have them in Malaysia and oppose Austrian economics FULL STOP.
With regards the falling price of electronic goods, one of the reasons for the fall is the large-scale integration of electronic components onto a single silicon chip, coupled with the fat that there are now made in lower wage countries such as China.
For example, TV and video player circuit boards in the 1980s were a mass of components soldered together on a circuit board but now you just find them all integrated onto one big chip, with a few supporting components connected to them.
Likewise, computer mother boards of the 1980s looked like a housing estate seen form the air, with rows and rows of integrated circuits laid out on them but now, there are just a few big chips performing the functions of many.
Moreover, high-levels of automation have reduced the labour costs as well.
If competitive market dynamics were the reason as you claim, then prices of all other manufactured goods, such as cars, watches, pens, etc would have also fallen in tandem but they have been going up instead. Likewise for food products.
For example, the price of a 1.3L car was around RM14,000 in 1980 and while the tariffs in favour of Proton & Perodua have driven overall car prices up since, still prices should be lower given your claimed market dynamics.
I checked out the price of a Toyota Vios in Bangkok around 2004 and it was around RM60,000 versus around RM80,000 in Malaysia.
A Toyota car of that capacity would have costs around RM20,000 in the 1980, so taking the Thai price as a benchmark, factors such as inflation had taken their toll, even in a competitive market.
Back in the 1970s, a new Mini produced by state-owned British Leyland costs around 5,000 pounds (or RM25,000 to RM30,000 back then) but what are Mini prices now?
So much for your market dynamics.
Also, if governments enforce market competition, that would be an interference with market dynamics, which would go against your ideal of small government.
On the other hand, if left to operate freely, market dynamics would result in free enterprise gravitating towards a monopoly.
A fine example of that is the dominance of Microsoft software, especially on end-user PCs today.
Microsoft began as a small startup worth US$16,000 in 1976 in a market environment with a huge amount of small players.
At first it only provided the operating system for PCs, while there were may choices of word processor, spreadsheet, database, presentation graphics and more.
By the early 1990s, Microsoft had cornered the office suite market and drove the rest such as WordStar, Wordperfect, dBase, Lotus 123, Lotus Word, etc to the sidelines and later, some even into oblivion.
Microsoft may then used its market dominance to force PC vendors to use Microsoft but one thing – it did not achieve its dominant position by government regulation but only through the operation of market dynamics.
Likewise, just look at the number of mergers and acquisitions going on within the electronics, software, computer, communications and Internet industry. Are any of these due to government regulation or by market dynamics?
Back in the 1990s there were a wide choice of search engines, such as Yahoo!, Alta Vista, MSN search, Excite, Lycos and more.
Today you have Google which could be said to be the “Microsoft of the Web,” while Yahoo! comes a distant second and I haven’t even considered Microsoft’s Bing.
To sum it up, when left to their own devices, free markets tend towards a monopoly. You can see that if you care to look around at how market dynamics actually work in the real world.
I’m sorry, but the key point you are missing is the all the monopolies you are talking about do give the customer the best option for the best price. Google has the biggest market share because it provides the best service for FREE. How is that a bad thing for the people? The same goes for all Microsoft products…and if you can’t afford them, then you can always get the alternate Office.org, etc. That’s the beauty of a market not distorted by the government. Car prices would have remained low if banks don’t provide loans for cars…back in the 70′s and 80′s car prices were low because people paid for them directly. If it got too expensive, then there will be no buyers and prices will go down. Over time, with banks offering loans for cars (this is a direct influence of govt, why would a private bank provide loans for an asset that automatically depreciates in value?)…guess what, prices of cars shoot up. Repeat the same for housing, education and health, all areas of big government distortion. Its nice to think a socialist system allows everyone everything, but it is an artificial system…no competition, no free market controlling the price and no reason for prices to go down or quality to go up.
“Car prices would have remained low if banks don’t provide loans for cars…back in the 70′s and 80′s car prices were low because people paid for them directly. ”
When were you born?
Car loans existed in 1980, though they were of shorter duration, such as three years.
“Google has the biggest market share because it provides the best service for FREE. How is that a bad thing for the people?”
I used Google as an example of the tendency for free markets to gravitate towards monopoly.
Also, while Google may give away lots of things for free to end users, it also gains massive control over the kind of information we get through the position of search rankings.
Such kinds of dominance will also deny smaller competitors opportunities online, as there’s usually room for no more than three players in the global village online.
Take Amazon.com for example, it dominates the online bookstore segment online and no other online bookstore in the world can ever compete with it.
I’ve seen too many wannabes who think themselves as the “Bill Gates of Malaysia,” “Jerry Yang of Malaysia,” “Jeff Bezoz of Malaysia,” etc, etc all remain small or have fallen by the wayside.
That is not because what they have is not good but because they do not have the financial and other resources to compete.
Talking of alternatives, I am typing this on a Linux PC and according to distrowatch.com, there are over 100 Linux, BSD and other open source distributions which are available free-of-charge but why don’t more people use them?
One of the reasons is familiarity. Some people simply can’t easily adapt to using open-source alternatives.
Another is compatibility of file format, which is important when exchanging documents with each other online.
For example, I installed OpenOffice on a client’s office PC and told his clerk to make sure to Save As a Word format but she did not do so, their customers could not open their invoices which were in OpenOffice native ODF format.
So I later configured OpenOffice to by default save documents in Word format and that solved their problems.
Now how many PC users or even installers would know to do that?
I myself only discovered that possibility later, so I could help my client who wanted to save costs by not having to buy original Microsoft Office.
Also, there still are still are some problems of compatibility of some hardware, such as 3G-USB dongles, WiFi-USB dongles, some printers, some scanners, even some sound and graphics cards with the top five distributions of open source software.
Most manufacturers of these products go for the lowest hanging fruit and provide the Windows drivers for them but usually, the open source community has to provide the drivers for them instead and have a hard time keeping up with the number of new models entering the market.
You might say that Microsoft thrives through powerful and well organised marketing, while open source software does not but that further confirms my point about the power of market dominance keeping competitors out.
So competing with a dominant player isn’t easy, even if your product is superior but because the dominant player has market power.
So despite it being a very stable and powerful operating system, with loads of free-of-charge applications, open source software has only about 1% market share of desktop PCs.
Now if cloud-based versions of OpenOffice and of Google Aps become dominant, along with other cloud-based applications supported by these giants, there will be even fewer opportunities for budding applications developers, who at most can hope to ride on these giants’ platforms but never to compete with them face-to-face.
BTW. Liberal and neo-liberal policies are diametrically opposed.
For example, many Democrats in the U.S. support liberal policies – i.e socially liberal on matters of free speech, free press, human rights, etc, while interventionist on matters of racism, minority rights, affirmative action, labour protection, environmental protection, social welfare, etc.
On the other hand, neo-liberals are liberal on social freedoms but oppose regulations in the economic sphere by being liberal in favour of the interests of business.
Unlike traditional conservatives, neo-liberals a.k.a. libertarians would support the legalisation of marijuana, gay rights, abortion, freedom of pornography, etc. but what’s the point of these freedoms when you have to struggle to survive economically and live in economic insecurity?
Sure, you are free to indulge in your hedonism but you are also free to starve under neo-liberalism and employers are free to discriminate against you on the basis of your colour, age, etc.
The only area where neo-liberals are my allies is in our mutual opposition to US imperialist wars on Iraq, Afghanistan, etc., albeit for different reasons.
Otherwise, I and them are bitter enemies.
P Uthayakumar has been hard on Pakatan, but he is blind to the fact that the abuse of Indians by BN and their own community leaders has been going on for decades. He has to decide who shall give him a better bet within the two-party system. Any further dissension and diversion will only cause more disunity and distraction. I no longer wish to support Uthayakumar within the confines of Hindraf, but I am supportive for more rights and assistance for the Indian community within Pakatan.
Then Pakatan should come up with affirmative action policies to help the Indians, especially those who have been displaced from the plantations.
Najib’s 1malaysia website was defaced by suspected Indonesian hackers.
This is exactly the armies Najib wants to raise to defend his government. He is going to give out citizenship to these illegal and violent Indonesians to attack peaceful Malaysians. Najib and his government are traitors! This is how INDON show you their gratitude for giving them instant citizenship.
Only the stupid BN govt is treating indons like gold. Go ask anyone in Indonesia, what they think of Malaysians.
Are you jealous that immigrants love this country more than you? Are you jealous that immigrants work harder than you? Are you jealous that immigrants are more thankful than you?
Jesus christ, dude
antiintelektual? tak paham, mungkin saya tak intelektual seperti tuan.\
antipekerja? sbb tak beri gaji minima ke?
politik fitnah? ni kezaliman dan kedunguan dr kedua-dua pihak politik.. saya merindui saat politik janji-janji kosong.
membudayakan rasuah? lihat siapa yg asyik menghentam MACC…
UMNO thinks that any assembly is to protest against the government because it knows deep down that its policies and implementations are against the people.
The objective of the assembly is to get the people to be aware of what is going on in the society. If the people have the right to choose a government, they have the right to know the issues involved, and to make the right choice. Malaysia claims to practice democracy, and so it has to allow the practices of democracy which includes the right to know. The natural place for people to be aware of the issues brought about by an assembly of people is the streets. Peaceably assembly as provided by the constitution demands that such assembly would not disturb peace. The traffic police has the responsibility to ensure that movement of people for their daily life is not affected. The Police Act pertaining to traffic should take care of issues involving assembly, and there is no need for a new law to restrict the population on how they assemble.
Najib said that the new bill is revolutionary. Indeed it is; it is like a coup d’etat against the rights of the citizens.
“UMNO thinks that any assembly is to protest against the government because it knows deep down that its policies and implementations are against the people.”
Don’t generalize and equate EVERY assembly in the sun (including Rukun Tetangga and school Monday assemblies) to your socially disruptive Bersih 2.0, moron. We’re not like yours, rubbing shit and making loud noises just to provoke the authorities. You faggots are just anarchists.
And when those businessmen made an assembly at KOMTAR, it is your turn instead who says “protesters are disturbing peace” and utilize the authorities to subdue them. Hypocrisy much?
Loh,
As anon 8:21pm said “You faggots are just anarchists.”!!
Indeed u are!
The cost of living is relative to the ability to earn. Lets establish the value of currency in terms of the wage rate (Malaysia does not have a minimum wage rate yet).
In Singapore the average general worker such as a merchandiser in a supermarket or department store or the cashier serving you at Mc Donald’s earns SGD5.50 – 6.00 per hour.
In Malaysia similar positions start at RM4 – 6 per hour.
But take a look at how much things cost in Malaysia. A kopi si peng (iced coffee) costs between SGD0.90 to SGD1.20 in clean coffee shops or food courts in Singapore.
In Malaysia the same kopi si peng in coffee shops or food courts costs RM1.80 to RM2.00.
A Chinese roasted duck costs SGD18-25 each . In Malaysia, at the market rate of RM48 per bird, eating roasted duck is a luxury.
u know why it is RM48 per bird?
coz selling to Singaporean can have more profit.. the demand in malaysia still there, but not enough supply(basic economy).
Should you blame the supplier to sell it to singapore to earn more profit? or should the government give u ‘soft loan’ to start hearding ducks tomoro?
I would agree with you. Purchasing power parity is the way to compare, not after conversion. Like a 3Mbps ADSL broadband connection costs Sing$35 per month, which is cheap for someone earning Sing dollars in Singapore.
Here, a 4Mbps ADSL package costs RM140/mo, while a 1Mbps package costs RM110/mo and even though that includes RM26 monthly line rental, it’s still a lot more expensive in ringgit for someone earning ringgit in Malaysia.
Scummy opposition in the beginning of this article??
Hey I thought this website is neutral!!
Damn your credibility for spreading the lies
not stopping the lies
If you have a hint of balls still intact do cover
something more important – the NFC.
Plenty of readers’ comment on NFC scandal on this site at

well, i thought malaysiakini is neutral but …..
Removing UMNO-BN of the political power is a must but is also the most difficult part. Over 50 years, UMNO-BN have erected the ruling systems that are so one-sided and biased towards them as in delination of the rural parliamentary seats and the control over these seats using the government servants and agencies.
These rural folks only have access to the main stream media consisting of UM, BH, NSTP, STAR, TN1 &2, TV3, TV7, etc that are owned by the ruling parties and the present government, churning out spinning news that praise the UMNO-BN government and rediculing the oppositions, day in and day out. Unless the opposition can get close to the rural folks to explain issues, these indoctrinations c/w elements of fear, will drive the lot to be the vote bank of UMNO-BN. Try we must to break the wall of fatalistic ignorence for the betterment of Malaysia.
why must u blame the tv?
i just blame the tv for turning people into couch potato and degrading people through sex and violent on it.
penetration of TV to kelantan is the same as other state yet they can be grasp by PAS. to blame other for your shortcoming is like calling a monkey banana lover, when they also eat other stuff.
come on, good policy, clean politics and cheap janji kosong is what make the politician wins. those blatant lies and personal attack on your opponent wont get you anywhere.
it is Politician for Dummies, and that’s why Obama wins the election.
additional, Selangor Daily owns by Selangor State gov and they provide me with a good laugh when I used to have my friday Prayer in Masjid Tabung Haji Kelana Jaya. Simple praise to the government on every page with no fact what so ever.
and now I think about it, TH should be own by the government too right? why no one stop them from putting the bulletin there? oh, i forgot, freedom of speech even when the sultan say no politic in the masjid for both political stance.
Your mentlity is cultivated by years of reading Utusan and watching TV3 Buletin. My sympathy for you.
Please wake up.
kindly put here something nice or samoething applicable to my daily life, please!!
When people are faced by economic hardship, all the propaganda in the world won’t succeed to convince them.
One the BN is good at is its populist policies of giving rural people some concessions in the form of land, accommodation, loans, grants, licenses, subsidies, etc. to make their lives a little easier.
Pakatan on the other hand – especially DAP and PKR have focused a lot on issues such as free speech, free press, transparency, Altantuya, etc which matter more to the urban middle class who are already economically comfortable but have focused less on matters of economic survival of the lower income group, including the rural poor.
During the Tenang by-election, journalists from Free Malaysia Today asked Indians there what they thought about the controversial book Interlok and their reply was that they had no time to bother about a mere book when they were pre-occupied with concerns for their economic survival.
Free Malaysia today itself reported this.
If DAP and PKR focused more on the economic concerns of the rural and urban lower income group, they would have a better chance of winning in these heartlands of the BN.
How BN can stay in power for so long and Malaysia is the weakest nation in SEA….
1. Gerrymandering
2. Give foreigners IC to vote
3. Unfair control of the media
4. Use of Government machinery for elections
5. Slush funds and big election budget – Money politics
6. Use of Justice department against opposition
7. Use of strong arm tactics like Police to intimidate
8. Use of Postal votes which is cheating. Many army personnel are non existent
9. Short and controlled campaigning time so the message for change is not sent across properly
10. Use issues of Religion and race to the hilt and create uneasiness 11. Overseas citizens are not given opportunity to vote
12. Electoral rolls are faulty and out of date
Umno-BN cannot be trusted and reliable to govern the country. They have no principle of trust where wealth of the nation is concerned. They breach the trust in carrying out projects and the projects failed. Just for example, fund for cattle farm, it is used to buy condominium. It is very wrong, but, they couldn’t be bothered, because they can’t be arrested and put inside the cell of the jail.
Najib will only get my vote if he gives me RM10million, plus a soft loan of RM250million, no black and white agreement one. No less.
I am being honest here, OK?
Najib did not make much sense with what he said said that umno is ahead of the curve as far as Reform is concerned and he attributed it to an ongoing top down reform process, giving credit to his ETP.
And then he says umno must reform or face a Malaysian spring from the people , bottom up. What is the connection here.?
The ETP has not worked at all, neither is the ETP a reform process within umno. ETP has nothing to do with Reform of umno within. Najib did not venture what he means by reform within umno. What constitutes Reform within umno?
How could umno reform if it’s president fails to express what those steps are? And if that is not stated clearly, by it’s very president, how on earth will that reform start? No one in umno knows what reform within umno means, what steps are to be planned and implemented to ensure Reforms within umno and avoid a Malaysoan Spring.
Final analysis, it is a foregone conclusion that the Malaysian Spring will indeed happen.
Join the Kill The Bill walk on Tuesday 29 November at 11:30 a.m. from Royal Lake Club to Parliament. Walk tall, walk proud, walk like a Malaysian!
Najib’s ideas and practices of democracy :
- Najib was never elected PM by the rakyat, he just took over from Pak Lah.
