Just days ago when Zahid Hamidi visited Penang by starting off with a warm hug given to Lim Guan, many opposition supporters were slamming the Prime Minister for his apparent-non showing. All over social media it was splashed across with comments like “where is Najis?”, “he is hiding under Rosmah’s skirt”, “Najib scared to come to Penang”. And today, DS Najib Razak silenced them all. He came without any political insignia or proudly displaying a BN or even an UMNO logo.
To be honest, I’m proud of our Prime Minister. He came by as a leader, not as a politician. He was in good spirits with the very same person who slammed him and his wife. He gave him much respect as the leader of a Malaysian state and he addressed the situation well. He shook hands with his opposers and treated them with much respect.
He went for his quick checks at the flood situations in the mainland. We were told that he may drop by our basecamp at Sungai Dua but didn’t eventually. It was perfectly fine with us as his efforts were more than enough.
He gave assurances that the Federal Government is considering a RM 1 billion stimulus package for the state of Penang to address their flood situation, mainly drainage in this. He immediately approved a RM 150 million aid for the state.
I hope from now on, Lim Guan Eng treats his political for with the same respect that he received.
Now, waiting for Tun M to visit the effected areas in Penang.
