We wish to expose two strong Pakatan Rakyat campaigners who use their Christian network to campaign for the opposition coalition. We wish to stress that every Malaysian is entitled to their political beliefs but what we are against is using religion to champion their political cause.
Tricia Yeoh is a former senior aide of Selangor Mentri Besar. She is actively involved in church activities and uses her connection to the maximum. She writes for The Micah Mandate – a portal run by PKR leader Goh Keat Peng, who is a member of the PKR disciplinary committee. Goh Keat Peng was also an official under the previous Perak PR state government.
Tricia Yeoh also uses other multi-media platform to attack the Barisan Nasional and unashamedly uses religion, or more specifically Christianity, to support PKR. She was formerly a senior analyst in the pro-PR Centre for Policy Initiatives – a think tank group that is unfriendly to the BN government. Tricia Yeoh has been described as a hard-core PKR activist.
Dr Lim Teck Ghee – who heads the Centre for Policy Institute – paints himself as a scholar and academician but unfortunately he has dedicated his career to BN bashing. Every thing that the Najib Administration does is bad and everything Anwar Ibrahim does is perfect. It is such skewed work that has turned Dr Lim Teck Ghee, a once respectable scholar, into another PR political operative.
He also uses his Christian connection in churches to attack the BN openly. He has been under watch by BN intelligence for some time and like other NGO, he talks about transparency but remains secretive of his source of financial support.
