Selangor ‘Water’Gate: A Clear Sabotage!

It has been brought to STL attention that the water shortage and unprecedented supply rationing in Selangor recently was a mere political gimmick, a real sabotage.

According to Syabas ‘insiders’, the water level at major dams especially Langat and Ulu Yam did not recede to an ‘emergency’ level and there was no reason for the provider to embark on supply rationing.

Without rationing, the dams have the capacity to supply enough water to consumers in the Klang Valley until the year 2017 provided that no drought season cast its spell on the areas for more than three consecutive months.

Yes, Klang Valley didn’t get any rain for about 3 weeks in late July and early August, and the water level receded slightly but that didn’t trigger any alarm.

So, what actually happened and why the panic?

Some Syabas staff was instructed to close the taps. We can’t reveal who issued the order but it was meant to create chaos over water shortage in the Klang Valley.

Water rationing was not necessary at all as supply was ample but they had to follow instruction from the top or subjected to some disciplinary actions for defying the bosses. And so, they did it, causing panic all over.

It’s for political reason, well-planned. When rationings were carried out, the people started to point fingers at Syabas and that provided the Selangor State Government to put all the blame on the Federal government.

And that’s when the Federal government had to bring up the Langat 2 project all over again, this time got the nod from Selangor… with the latter imposing some strict conditions, including the rights to choose the contractor for the job.

Now that we know the whole truth, STL would like to call on all Syabas workers involved in taking such directive to come forward and speak up.

You people had not only sinned but also committed a crime. Unless you are willing to come out and reveal everything, I believe the people will forgive you knowing that you had to abide by all instructions given by the bosses.

So, it’s all for politics, uh? STL believes Mentri Besar Khalid Ibrahim & Gang were the ones issuing such order to Syabas personnel to stage the water sabotage. Who else would have done that for politics? Nik Aziz? Crap!

STL is also calling on the MACC to go deep into Syabas and Khalid office and investigate the matter. Dig up all files related to the water rationing, without leaving any stone unturned. Those involved in the political cahoots must be dragged to court and put them to dry behind bars for a long, long time.

To the rakyat of Selangor, it’s time to reconsider Khalid’s position as the MB, and it’s also a duty to give Pakatan Rakyat the big boot in the next general election, unless you are willing to be dodged again.

On Wednesday, a group of 2,020 consumers in Selangor sued the state government, Khalid and Syabas for RM1.1 mil for allegedly failing to provide water subsidy under the Free Water Scheme promised by the state government.

The scheme was part of the Opposition’s manifesto in the previous general election.

The suit was filed through the firm Messrs Kamarudin & Partners at the High Court registry in Shah Alam.

The plaintiffs, from Shah Alam and Petaling Jaya, claimed that during the election campaign in March 2008, the state government – or Pakatan Rakyat – had promised them free water if they won the general election.

According to the election manifesto, each domestic water consumer in Selangor would be entitled to a subsidy of RM11.40 per month, whether they use an individual meter or a bulk meter.

However, the plaintiffs claimed they did not receive the promised free water as there were no discounts for the said water amount in their bills, issued by the third defendant Syabas.

So, you still believe in every single promise they make?

Haiyaaa.. I’m getting sick of this laa. Politicians, please don’t politicize everything.

    • Anonymous says:

Sorry, I’m not getting sick. It provides fodder for us to wallop them back. And show the rakyat they are not worth 2 sen.

We got to work hard lah. Hit every nook and corner, every bit of garbage, lies and deceits they put out. And get them out of the 4 states at PRU13.

      • Servant of God says:

Of course it is fodder for us. But remember, we are here on God’s Earth to do good, to help those less fortunate than us, to pray to God and leave this place better than when we came into it.

Wat to do, bro. They incorrigible kind. Tak masuk ajar. Biadap kata Tengku Aziz DAP Vice Chairman masa dia cabut keluar DAP. So, kita bantai saja le bila ada masa.

Good title, bro. At the US Watergate scandal, Richard Nixon lost his job as President. At this Selangor Water “gate”, let’s get Khalid Ibrahim and the whole PR jing bang out of Selangor government.

Though I doubt if it’s Khalid who issued instructions to the Syabas staff. Khalid has been looking too sleepy with all sorts of problems including an unpaid RM66 million debt to a bank which already got a Court Order to enforce on him. It’s likely to be the likes of DAP Exco Teresa Kok kok, gangster-like, door-banging Ronnie Liu and others scheming and implementing that kind of strategy.

But all the same, the buck goes to them and stops at Khalid. They all should be kicked out. Aiyyo, poor Mak Ciks, Ah Sohs and Achis have to carry pails of water 4 floors upstairs the no-lift flats lah. The suffering doing so during the last fasting month was immeasurable. They must have been cursing Khalid and gang.

Yes whistle-blowers must be encouraged to honour of biaDAP’s CAT (competency, accountability and transparency).

  4. Troopers says:

If you can’t find anymore reasons to blame the fed gov, just create something to blame them even more.

    • Anonymous says:

This is because they have no issue to raise up.
      Rakyat are well taken.
      BN is a caring govt.

We vote for party who takes care of us, not themselves first.
Now we have seen two water greed issues.
One is stopping water usage to us.
And another one is having too much water over land.

      Hmm
      Just show them door out.

  5. SD says:

ahh?? I thought the man at the top of Syabas Hill drawing a multi-million salary is an UMNO man? What was he doing at the office – counting pennies and making orders for his own Indon made pipes to be used for our Malaysian project? Why blame the MB sitting in the MB’s office if the man employed to sit in the Syabas office can’t do his job?
So now, do we or do we not not Langat 2????

    • Anonymous says:

Wat you got talk? Where got “multi-million salary is an UMNO man”? Lu manyiak bolo lah. How to talk with you laik dis?

      • Anonymous says:

He may be Umno man but lu tatak baca STL bilang atak PR bums quietly give dirty tactic instructions to blokes control big pipes, mah.

        • SD says:

siapa lagi, Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) executive chairman Tan Sri Rozali Ismail – the RM4 million guy lah – the one who owns a Indon pipe manufacturing factory and supplies to us for pipe change lah!
He’s sitting in the big office there and cannot control his staff kah? Gaji buta kah? Aiyoh, how you know others are giving orders? STL tells you and you percaya just like that? Earlier, STL said all well and dandy with water distribution and only probelm with langat 2? That time you percaya juga?

          • Anonymous says:

Aiseh, even stern disciplinarian, expel, expel, expel Lim Kit Siang and son Lim Guan Eng could not control DAP fellas, ma. Remember, Selangor DAP Exco Ronnie Liu’s tender recommendation letters under his letterhead? Until DAP Selangor delegates voted him out of the Selangor DAP Chief post? Want more examples?

          • Servant of God says:

Actually, control by the central office is a tenuous grasp in orgaizations like Syabas. Bosses depend on their staff for input. “The pipes are all open, right?”

If the staff sudah kena suap and lies to the boss, then how? Unless all of Syabas pipes and equipment are electronically hooked up to a control board which can detect and check what is operational and what is not, there is no hope for the boss to find out the truth, unless he visits every pump house every day to confirm.

Of course, these are just examples. Let the proper investigations be done. Or let the real truth be exposed on STL.

    • Anonymas says:

Khalid Ibrahim has a huge share in Syabas, not that UMNO guy (whom Khalid has been planning to kick out for some time). If you follow the news, it seems that Khalid has been trying to take over Syabas since he stepped in as Selangor MB.

He brought up many issues, and in each one he gave the ultimatum “Settle this, or give SYABAS to us, the Selangor govt.” Also, banners and billboards have been erected in many places saying “RAKYATKAN AIR” < 'rakyatkan' actually means 'give it to Pakatan Rakyat', lol

First, how can he say 'rakyatkan air' when you reap the rewards from water bills, being the major shareholder? This whole thing is nothing but corporate drama, with him being a larger entity than his old post in Guthrie (or was it sime darby?)

      • Anonymous says:

Why why he is so keen to take over syabas until even our (voters) interest may be used as a pawn chip.

Is syabas cash and asset rich?

        Why
        Why

        Ada pipe sebalik batu ke?

  6. ED says:

This scandal, as much as it is hard to believe, also shows the level of politics in Malaysia today. It shows how low politicians are willing to go just to hold on to power, fame and fortune that comes along with it. Having read this scandal as it is, i wish to invite pro-PR leaders or supporters to lay out your defense, just give your point that what is written here is not true. Otherwise, SHAME ON YOU FUKATAN..

  7. Ex MIC says:

Yeah, we should send in the MACC. If it is the work of the top guy in Syabas, Then the result will be no case. They look after their own kind. Selangor MB has already said there are enough water for everyone and Syabas gave all kind of excuses. Even the water pump are not properly service. Should change the Syabas top guy and let a proffesional do the job.

    • Anonymous says:

Talk cock. PR in charge of Selangr lah, water supply is PR’s problem, man.

If Khalid said one thing, DAP Exco fellas or some blokes claiming represent PR tell the fellas in charge of big pipes to release a lot or little water, so how? Blame BN oso? Fellows kentot in the Selangor government office, blame BN oso? Wat the …

  8. Kim King Kong says:

Just solve the bloody issue lah. If there is a need to split the commission or price muck-up between Federal BN and Selangor PKR, just do it lah. The construction price of the dam is going to be inflated anyway, irrespective whoever run the government.

I am tired of having to buy mineral water at Tesco in big bottles just to wash my arse. Imagine, having to buy mineral water just to wash my arse !!!

  9. Anonymas says:

    WAAAAAAAAAITWAITWAIT

Tian Chua claimed that he went to the plant and saw Syabas personnel closing the taps themselves. Does this mean that the news is canon?

Also, tahniah Tian Chua for testifying against the MB

    • Anonymous says:

Boleh caya ka Tian Chua? Amacam dia pigi and fellas closing the taps? Siutak arrange ka? Macam Anwar selalu bikin drama until people call him drama king.

But testify against MB Khalid, I laiik.

  10. ExDAP says:

This is all merely hearsay. There is not a proof of that ever happened. The only way it is proven or substantiated is if those who actually did “shut” the valve to come forth.

IF NOT, PLEASE DON’T SPREAD RUMOURS!

  11. Mangkuk says:

Not to forget DAP who play this puppet called Khalid. These games is DAP games. They’re actually govern Selangor not PAS not PKR.

  12. Anonymous says:

DPM Muhyiddin said he has replied to Selangor Government’s letter. “The Selangor government is bound by agreements it had entered into with all concessionaires, and the matter should be resolved through negotiations on the basis of willing buyer willing seller,” he said.

The Federal Government must have got the views and recommendations of the Attorney General’s Chambers.

Where got chance for Selangor to get out of their legal obligations. Selangor has four water concessionaires, namely Syarikat Pengeluar Air Berhad, Konsortium Abbas, Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) and Puncak Niaga.

Muhyiddin said the acquisition of the concessionaires would take a long time and if it did not materialise, then only it could be brought to the second level, that is the Federal Government, as it was responsible in taking over water assets through Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB). Note: Federal gomen can take over but not just willy nally.

Of course the Federal Government shouldn’t be interfering in the Selangor Government’s business until it is absolutely necessary. Let the Fook Tan Rakyat gomen sweat it out. Until cold sweat. They clever talk only, let’s see they got brains or not.

Sure PR gomen cannot solve one. Let the rakyat see first. More rakyat crying, more rakyat suing like the 2,000 plus group olely filed legal suit. Gagap sommore lah Khalid.

  13. Support BN says:

BN has done a lot of goods…so remember come GE 13 we must all vote Pakatan Rakyat……all these years BN has given out lots of goodies…..so please please come GE13 vote Pakatan……BN got lots of experience….remember vote Pakatan…

  14. INA says:

Within this short year of Pakatan rule in Selangor, our row of shops had to deal with “so called” burst pipes in our buildings. Never before had we experienced such problems. My 1st floor office with monthly use of RM30-RM40 for the last 7years suddenly showed RM1,400 for one particular month. As checks showed no leakage whatsoever within our premises, we sent the meter for inspection… still they said they was nothing wrong with the meter and that we MUST pay. Few days later another neighbour and another and another came up with same complain, just next door had to pay RM2,3K. As for me, 6months later, ground floor had to cough out another RM900 for similar so called “water usage”… This also raised our rates to Indahwater, as it was calculated based on average total yearly usage. And the cost of re doing our plumbing works etc, we had to call their “registered” plumbers to come do the repairs or new pipings.

Then activities stopped as almost the whole row of shops selesai kena “CON”.. probably they move on to other areas. This must be syndicated and coordinated acts which I am sure being played by the inside employees…. PLAIN ROBBERY from rakyat after PKR took over Selangor. Sleazy and so immoral the way they manage the state!!!

If you need documentations, email me…

    Disgusted

SIL…. dig and get these figures, I am definite it was planned activity to CHEAT/CON.

    • Anonymous says:

I wish more of those who have suffered water woes would come out and make noise against the PR gomen.

Can call Malay Mail oso to get them publish such complaints in the traditional media. MM used to be good at bringing such complaints to the authorities in ways that’ll make them take action quickly.

    • Anonymous says:

I support “Disgusted”‘s call for Stopthelies.com to get the facts and figures from him/her and publish them here and/or forward them to other parties who can highlight the problems to stop the monkey business by those who did the terrible things and to get the Fook Tan Rakyat gomen take effective action.

      Teruk lah rakyat like this.

    • SD says:

Yeah lah, the syabas top honcho bought the indonesian made pipes from his factory in indonesia despite being asked to buy “buatan malaysia”. How can indonesian pipes be of better quality than malaysian pipes?

  15. Anonymous says:

Most of us missed the points, thanks to the propaganda by mainstream media. Selangor took over Pakatan in 2008 and thousands can verify that water services issues have been around years earlier. To blame Pakatan for pipes problems etc doesn’t make sense. We should be questioning Syabas instead.

    • Anonymous says:

Speak for yourself and your kind missing the point lah, Mista.

“Most” of the rakyat know came Pakatan Rakyat, no water in several places, poor housewives in walk-up, no-lift, 4-story flats, have to carry heavy pails of water up the stair cases every day, man. And the husbands complaining cannot bathe after a hard day’s work, only “towel” their bodies. They’ll speak PRU13 time lah.

You mean sampah not collected problem, longkang not cleaned problem, flash floods because blocked drains, also during BN time ha? That time with Alam Flora things were moving smoothly, why want to sack them ha? DAP Exco i/c Ronny Liu wanna corrupt money or give chance for corruption by appointing scores of contractors ha?

Where got savings when got to buy compactors, maintain and service them etc. And what happen to the compactors, no news ha?

  16. The Real Rakyat says:

Where got problem under Penipu Rakyat regime?? All is ok!! Garbage no colect is BN fault coz they sabo, longkang jammed?? Is again BN fault too and buy 50 substandard garbage truck is also BN fault coz they made it happen??? Get my point PR fellas you have no guts to take an responsibilty for your action or rather in this case inaction. As it is those trucks sit unused as no council in willing to accept substandard goods.
