Lim Guan Eng lost his guts when facing the NGOs and voters of Penang last week at a forum.
These people were fed up with the CM’s blossoming romance with the developers, selling off state land to them and allowing them to build apartments and towers on Penang’s green hills as though Penang belongs to the Lim Dynasty.
When confronted by them, there was strangely no more talking big about multi billion ringgit ideas to build a tunnel under the polluted channel so that he can zip to and fro from Komtar to his constituency in the mainland.
Neither was there any talk about superhighways to bring more cars and traffic into the island which was already unlivable under boh hoot Koh Tsu Koon and which has become even more unbelievable under Lim Guan Eng.
His harebrained scheme to build a cable car from Teluk Bahang to Penang was shot down at the forum.
The charm of Penang lies in the funicular railway, not some million ringgit cable car that will only make the DAP cronies richer.
The arrogant CM has also been blaming the newspapers for creating stories that Penang people are angry the hills are dying.
All not true, lies, I will sue you, he said. He claimed the hills are alive with the sound of music. Dear Leader, the only people singing are the developers as they dance and sing all the way to the bank.
Imagine his shock when people in the audience clapped loudly whenever someone brought up issues about the environment and the hills.
Alamak, the newspapers were telling the truth and the CM was the one lying. The CM’s mouth dropped open and looked like a big septic tank.
Traffic jam is the biggest headache for ordinary Penang people. The DAP had claimed they would solve the transportation problem if they came to power.
Now they are in power, they say, sorry cannot solve. Transportation is federal government responsibility.
Yup, hate and blame, that’s his specialty. He has a PhD in that field.
He got another shock about the Penang Port issue. After he tried to block the federal attempt to privatize Penang Port, his chief crony Tan Sri Dato Seri Tan Kok Ping organized a Chinese consortium to bid for the port.
BTW he gave this crony who is also a developer a Dato Seri during the Penang Governor’s birthday last month.

Well, the NGO and citizens at the forum told him to stop this nonsense and they have organized a signature campaign to stop his crony’s bid to get the port.
This is the second slap in the face for him. This crony Tan Kok Pin is very rich but stupid because he had announced that Penang Port must remain in the hands of Penang.
Hahaha! The next day, Gerakan in Penang (not rich but not as stupid as Tan Kok Pin) voiced agreement that the port must belong to Penang and that the Chief Minister post must also go to a Penangite and NOT some politician who acts like a triad leader.
Err, where can we sign the petition that CM post must be held by Penangite?
His latest campaign line is to make Penang a liveable city. But that idea is also starting to sound as unconvincing as DAP a multiracial party.
Penang is as dirty as ever, the traffic jam has worsened, the hills are dying, plastic bags are still everywhere except where it is needed at Giant Hypermarket, public transport is a flop and everyday it is politics and hate and blame.
The CM has admitted that he is a failed accountant and that was why he went into politics.
He is hallucinating if he thinks he knows what makes a liveable city.
His mouth became as big as the Mulu Caves when a town planner from Penang showed slides of liveable cities of the world.
Maybe the guy should also have shown that the leaders of these cities are not failed accountants.
The trouble with the CM is that he has told so many lies and made so many outlandish boasts that even the NGOs do not believe him anymore.
One of them asked him: liveable city for the rich or the poor? This time his mouth dropped open as big as Bakun Dam.
Yup, the feeling among many Penang people is that the CM loves his developer friends.
They take him for expensive dinners, for samsengs, they tell him, ayah CM, don’t be afraid of Betty lah. She is old, Rainbow is young.
If you like Rainbow, go for it. Be like fighting cock, not henpecked husband.
His developer friends are not interested in building low cost houses for the poor.
If they cared for the poor, they would be working as social welfare officers and not raping the hills and ripping off the rich.
This failed accountant used to condemn developers now they are BFF.
Together they will succeed in making Penang the most unliveable city since Merdeka.
Koh Tsu Koon was boh hoot durian, seedless durian. He had no guts to stand up to Umno.
Lim Guan Eng claims he is hu hoot durian, durian with big seeds. But durian lovers know that hu hoot durian is not worth very much.

He has been diagnosed having a mental illness. Bipolar – with mood swings. At best he’ll dig out so-called facts from Wikipedia (which any Tom, Dick and Jimmy can write, edit and re-edit) to pour out in here, at worst he claims to own “half the world”. Grandiosity is the hallmark of his “Bipolar high” which may culminate in spewing vitriol, racist, seditionist and rude words.

Lim Kit Siang, and the son Lim Guan Eng, have wanted to copy-cat almost everything what Lee Kuan Yew and PAP did, right down to wearing the uniform white shirt and trousers, minus the tie. So, Guan Eng thinks he is doing a Singapore, but by putting up expensive housing units, condominiums and high-rise buildings.
But he hasn’t taken care of the low-income Penangites. He didn’t provide the means by which those people could buy units in the high rise apartments. In the first place, they were built as expensive “apartments”, not lower-cost “flats” that the Singapore Housing Dev Board built aplenty. And he has not the means to ensure loans and facilities for the lower income to buy, those who Jimmy Babi calls “low class .. peasants/ coolies”, who the banks would normally call “unbankable”. The units that sell at prices that the street vendors of all kinds could buy cash – hard but real cash that they keep at home and the like, never declaring and never paying income tax. Many did that in Ipoh some time back, as reported in newspapers at the time.
And Guan Eng simply wouldn’t build the low cost housing for Penang people. He doesn’t really care for them, even when there were over 100 acres of State land, he sold them, becoming “the biggest real estate broker in the country”, some people said. He could have at least set aside, say, 30% of those, instruct the Penang Development Corporation (PDC) to build low cost housing units, not taking any profit as it is a state government body, and can really sell homes affordable to a significant proportion of the Penang population. After all, it has been the traditional role of the PDC, like the Selangor Economis Dev Corp, Johore SEDC, and others.
Noooo, Guan Eng with his small brains and copy-cat thinking hallucinate about a second Singapore in Penang. He’d next import sand from Saudi Arabia to fill the seas around Penang and name the reclaimed area Nana Land, Rainbow Territory, whatever.

KUALA LUMPUR – Three men were fined RM700 each, in default 14 days’ jail, by the Magistrate’s Court here today for pasting posters containing pictures and words which insulted Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and former Bar Council president Datuk S.Ambiga.
Magistrate Zulkpli Abdullah handed down the sentence on Muhammad Nizam Ali, Hamzah Mahmood and Shahir Saarani after they changed their plea from not guilty to guilty.
However, two others, Mohd Norizam Che Othman, 31, and Mohd Jamil Jamaluddin, 36, who were charged with them, maintained their not guilty plea.
The court maintained their bail at RM1,000 in one surety each and set Sept 4 for mention.
Muhammad Nizam, 24, a clerk at a private hospital; Hamzah, 32, a driver with a consultant company, and Shahir Saarani, 30, a technician, were jointly charged with five others still at large, with committing the offence at Jalan Wan Kadir, Taman Tun Dr Ismail here, at 3.40am last February 4.

There is no such thing as pure Han Chinese, just as there is no such thing as pure Caucasian or Aryan race as Adolf Hitler tried to prove and propagate, but shot himself dead.
Remember you said no such thing as Malay Civilization? There was, and indigenous to this area, encompassing the entire Malay Archipelago, the largest archipelago in the whole world.
