When Chua Tee Yong revealed two weeks ago the lands in Selangor-Talam’s RM676 million saga were overvalued, Selangor People heard the “rebuttal” and “humiliation” from both Talam and Tony Pua.
Above the “rebuttal” and “humiliation”, Malaysia People were told that the questionable Valuation of the deal was scrutinised and approved by Securties Commission (“SC”) and Bursa!! This had misled Malaysia People into believing the questionable Valuation was “fair and reasonable” even though Chua Tee Yong pointed out that Bestari Land was overpriced by RM42 million and Danau Putra Land was RM28 million more than the auction price in the open market.
The lie is completely broken now when Talam admitted that both SC and Bursa have in fact never approved the Valuation. Then why they told us in the first place that SC and Bursa had approved the Valuation? Don’t they know that the incorrect remarks will mislead the People? Not forgetting too, DAP Tony had even directed the People to refer to Talam’s announcement in several occasions.
Malaysia People do not want to be fooled and misled! Malaysia People demand a public apology from the irresponsble parties for their misleading and incorrect information. We want Selangor government to anwer whether they are aware that the questionable Valuation was never approved by SC and Bursa.
Selangor government must remember this: A further delay will not only bring more questions on the questionable Valuation but also the credibility of Selangor government.

We refer to our announcement dated 11 July 2012 and wish to clarify that the statement made in para 4 of the press release that ‘both SC and Bursa had approved the valuation of Land’ is incorrect. The debt settlement exercise for Talam Corporation Berhad, was not subject to the approval of the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) or Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (Bursa).
Under Bursa’s Listing Requirements, Talam was required to ensure that the valuation reports submitted together with the draft circular comply with SC’s Asset Valuation Guidelines. In this regard, copies of the valuation reports and certificates were referred by Bursa to the SC for review on compliance with the relevant guidelines and adequacy of disclosures in the valuation certificates.
We further wish to announce that TRINITY will not be making any further announcement pertaining to any further statement by any parties, if any, unless necessary as all the details are contained in our circular to shareholders dated 15 March 2011.
