Hurry Hurry Home to Rotorua! Phee Boon Poh is NZ PR?

The biggest talk among the Chinese media now is that Penang DAP state executive councillor holds a New Zealand permanent residence.

Even his wife is a NZ permanent resident, that is what the Chinese businessmen in Penang are saying.

All his children have settled down in New Zealand and as expected, he has bought homes and land in New Zealand – even as his DAP leaders and Dear Leader hypocritically attacked Dr Ng Yen Yen of once having an Australian permanent residence.

The fact is that Yen Yen held the PR when her children was studying in Australia.

She was not active in politics and she was a doctor then.

But what can we say about Phee Boon Poh, the serving DAP state executive councillor.

I think he owes the people of Penang and his party comrades an explanation.

We think that Dear Leader should haul him up and ask him!

We have found that he has six properties locally and in NZ  including a penthouse and a bungalow land!

We are told that Phee Boon Poh is fond of telling his friends that he wants to “balik kampong” whenever he goes on his trips to NZ to fulfill his visa requirements to keep his PR status.

He has also told Penang reporters that he would “balik kampong” to NZ once he was no longer a politician.

    • zai says:

During the second debate between MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek and DAP Secretary-General and Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng last Saturday, Dr Chua attempted to belittle the achievements of the PR state government by rattling off a string of untruths and wild accusations.

In a tirade about the lack of affordable housing in Penang, Dr Chua declared: “Ladies and gentlemen, please do not be misled. There is no low-cost housing built by the state government from 2008 to 2010.”

Dr Chua made this accusation not once but twice, repeating the same thing during his closing remarks, in which he also said that due to “limited land, escalating land costs, no low-cost houses built from 2008 to 2010… the poor in Penang will be slowly and surely squeezed out, I tell you.”

It is almost unbelievable how he has failed to understand simple facts. As Lim Guan Eng explained both during the debate and numerous times before that, the Penang state government has, since assuming power in 2008, built 3,806 units of low-cost and low-medium cost homes. These units were built through the state development arm, Penang Development Corporation (PDC).

Besides the 3,806 units built since 2008, the state government has announced an additional 18,000 units to be built in every corner of the state, including 1,320 units to be located in a 6.9 acre plot of land along Jalan SP Chelliah in the heart of George Town to cater for the housing needs in the city. Also in the pipeline are 12,000 units of affordable homes that will be designed by leading international consultant, Surbana (formerly known as HDB Corporation).

By arguing that the state government did not technically build any houses per se, Dr Chua is guilty of fact-twisting. If this logic is accepted, then the federal government cannot claim any credit for homes built by agencies such as Syarikat Perumahan Nasional Berhad. What kind of perverted logic is this?

I am sure Dr Chua knows this simple fact, but I do not blame him for trying to divert attention away from the fact that the dire housing situation in Penang is in fact a direct result of 50 years of failed policies by the BN government.

The fact is, the state government has no choice but to take ownership in the provision of affordable housing because the system has failed to do so. The shirking of responsibility by the previous government by arbitrarily imposing low-cost housing quotas on developers without actually understanding the needs of the market and without regard for a proper mechanism of ownership and maintenance has resulted in sub-standard housing and worse, pockets of gaps all over the state due to supply not matching demand.

It is for this reason that the state government of Penang has taken active steps including allocating an unprecedented RM500 million for an affordable housing fund that will be used to meet the people’s needs for good quality and affordable housing.

Dr Chua rightly said in his debate that “MCA has been involved in nation-building from day one”. If that is the case, it is no wonder that we have inherited so many intractable problems. As such, it is Dr Chua who should stop misleading the people by lying about low-cost housing in Penang to divert attention away from the BN’s own failed housing policies.

          It’s all about perception.

We, PR-cybertroopers, must create the perception the PR is the best thing since sliced bread… and, once PR gets into power, as in Penang and Selangor… then PR leaders will screw the Rakyat inside, left, right, sideways, outside, upside and your backsides, to boot.

Hey, our PR number-one man likes it from behind, you scUMNO-monkeys must be really stupid.

Actually the pakatan was caught unprepared to rule the states they won (and yet they claim the election system is fraud and manipulated).

Paklah & sil (UMNO) were the factor in this loss of 5 states. Even Pakatan was taken by surprise which is why PRU12 was labelled as the political tsunami.

BN has its “normal” share of corrupt members but has a proven track record. Pakatan by comparison is the “angel you just met”.

      • Not a Lord says:

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak may not have enough confidence to win in the upcoming 13th general election (GE13), despite making early preparation, Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim speculated today.

“The country’s attention, therefore, is on the upcoming general election. But it seems that Najib has again postponed calling for the election, even though I have heard about the BN’s final preparation for the July election,” Anwar told reporters before leaving for Kuala Lumpur after a two-day tour to Sarawak.

He said the postponement shows that BN, with the arrogant display of its so-called strength, has no confidence that it is able to defend its position in Putrajaya this time.

“We, the Pakatan Rakyat (PR), on our part, must work harder and ensure that our grassroots machineries from the DAP, PKR and Pas, cooperate with one another, and secondly, we want to see the process of clean election being conducted.

“We have problems in respect of the electoral rolls, though it is little in Sarawak, the serious problems are in Sabah, Selangor, Federal Territory and Johor.

“There are contradictions of names in the electoral rolls because of the presence of large numbers of dubious and suspicious names, which we believe are foreigners,” he said.

Anwar said Najib has stated that the Federal Government wanted to set up a Royal Commission of Inquiry on the large numbers of foreigners who have registered as voters in the Sabah, but the term of reference alone takes two years to finalise.

“That means, he is not serious, and if he forms one, it will be one or two months before the election or just a gimmick for the election.

“If you are serious, it should have been formed. It makes no sense and nowhere in the world where you have to decide the terms for a major commission and not resolve after two years,” he said, adding that Najib was making an excuse or pretext to form the RCI.

He said the issue of foreigners who have registered as voters is not peculiar to Sabah, but also a major problem in Selangor and Federal Territory.

“I have called for a national RCI, because if you just confined to Sabah, there is a danger because at the time the commission has conducted those studies, they will export those people to Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

“After the completion of the studies or investigations, then they will bring back those people to Sabah,” he claimed.

“Therefore, it has to be a national commission of inquiry that covers the whole country or parts of the country affected by the problems,” he said.

Anwar said there appeared to be increased in allocations announced by Najib, but it shows how desperate the BN is, and it is not consistent or inherent policies, but only done prior to the elections.

He said some people would be gullible enough to believe that the BN is generous, but it also shows that the BN and Najib are weak and desperate to win in the upcoming election.

Anwar said one classic case is a huge demand for taxi permits, and what do they get?

“Four tyres. It shows disconnect between the policies of BN and Najib and the real demands of the rakyat,” he said.

Anwar also called on “our friends” from Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak, to join forces and demand change in the country.

“That is important, not just MPs or individuals, but there must be a total clamour for change.

And we will certainly welcome people who are committed to our reform agenda, people who understand Buku Jingga and Pakatan Rakyat’s agenda.

“Although I know from time to time, in Peninsula Malaysia as well in Sarawak, people attacking Buku Jingga which I must thank to encourage people to read it, otherwise, you only read Buku Jingga when Najib attacks me, but there is not a word of it in the mainstream media.

“Interesting, they attack Anwar every day, but they never report what Anwar has to say,” he said.

Anwar urged Sarawakians to help change the BN government, saying:. Can Sarawakians agree to the present land policy. Can Sarawakians agree with the facts that foreigners are given ICs summarily. Can Sarawakians agree that corruption has become endemic and then you have large gap between the very rich and the very poor?”

“These are non-acceptable to Sarawakians and transcend racial consideration. They have been using these issues in the Malay/Muslim areas, for example, accusing PR of wanting to surrender the Malay leadership or supremacy and privileges and rights to the non-Malays.

“That is the campaign, but of course, in Kuching and Kuala Lumpur, Najib will talk about 1Malaysia, but he will use his entire machinery on the ground, just look at the courses of BTN, Jasa, with the message that the PR is here to sell our rights to the Chinese and non-bumiputras.

“I am here to reiterate that we are here to protect and defend our rights – our rights means the rights of the Malays, Chinese, Dayaks and others, as enshrined and guaranteed by the Federal Constitution,” he said.

Another term for BN means hammering the last nails for democracy, and a thumb’s up for dictatorship, tainted with corruption. The citizens must wake up and chase this diabolical regime out immediately, and ensure all those morons must face the music individually together with their cronies. On top of my list would include Mahathir, Najib, Muhyiddin, Musa, Taib, Harris and Patail ( the AG). 10. Aspan says:

You wankers are probably paid by the length of the response from Talam Corporation, the chief sponsor of the Selangor PKR. It’s fucking boring lah. And who the fuck is this Lord Jim? He has got nothing to do ah? Go to Malaysiakini and Malaysian Insider lah. Migrate whatever. Go campaign for Nurul in Lembah Pantai before she loses. • Gerak Khas says:

Schoolboys and schoolgirls in UK who take O-Level sociology learn the following basics about official crime statistics – official crime statistics are not reliable indicators of the extent of crime in the community.

Anthony Giddens, probably Britain’s foremost sociologist, in his textbook says: “Statistics about crime and delinquency are probably the least reliable of all officially published figures on social issues.”

Official crime statistics are not reliable for many reasons:

Many crimes are not reported to the police. There are various reasons for this e.g. the victim feels the crime is too trivial, or does not think it will be solved anyway, so does not want to waste time. Or he/she does not trust the police or fears repercussions.

Certain crimes are very personal: in some places in the US up to 90 percent of rapes do not get reported.

Female crime is under-represented in the official crime statistics because of leniency toward female offenders and some crimes committed by females are neglected e.g. prostitution.

Many white collar and corporate crimes go unrecorded by the police. Such crimes are complicated to investigate and prosecute and the criminals have the power to protect themselves.

Many of these crimes are “solved” quietly within the company to avoid bad publicity.

Bribes to the police result in many crime reports not seeing the light of day.

The official crime statistics are compiled by the police department so can be doctored to make it look the way they want.

Some crimes, even when reported, don’t go into the statistics e.g. 10 houses on the same street are burgled but they can be recorded as one crime or a wife-beating cased is dismissed as a domestic squabble.

Victim surveys and self-report studies conducted by unbiased researchers give a truer picture of the number and types of crimes being committed but I am not sure anyone has conducted such studies in this country.

The press can also distort the crime statistics by spinning and exaggerating stories to win readers.

They do this by reporting certain crime stories in sensational style, maybe wanting to create a moral panic – the readers and politicians scream “bad”, the police spring into some short-term action, based on their criminal stereotypes. The statistics go up, the crime situation looks bad.

This is the “perception problem” the Minister of Home Affairs has been blaming on the people who complain the crime level is bad in Malaysia and he may have a point.

But Datuk Hishamuddin and the IGP should also learn from the British O-Level schoolboy to take the official crime statistics and the alleged 10.1 drop in crime level with a handful of salt, and ask again, what is the real crime situation in the country, because the people are crying foul.

      • Lisa says:

I see we must be talking about the crime rate in NZ, as the topic is about NZ.
The crime rate is down but we know more about it as we read and some people believe everything on social media and blog sites.

        • Lord Jim says:

Certain crimes are very personal: in some places in the US up to 90 percent of rapes do not get reported.

If these rape cases go unreported, then how do you arrive at the 90 percent figure?

          So, how do you know?

“I’m not a New Zealand PR’, says Phee Boon Poh

    2012-07-15 10:56

Phee Boon Poh today strongly denied that he was a permanent resident of New Zealand.

He said today, he and his wife did not apply for permanent residency in New Zealand, and so far he has never thought of applying PR of New Zealand.

He challenge the parties who spread the rumours to come up with evidence, else they must apologize.

“If anyone can come up with evidence that I hold a New Zealand PR, I can always resign and withdraw from politics forever, otherwise the person should apologize to me.”

However he admitted that he had many friends and relatives had moved to New Zealand as early as in the 1980s, so many of his siblings have settled in New Zealand, so he travels quite frequent to New Zealand to visit friends and relatives.

Why don’t you monkeys check your facts before indulging in monkey antics which does nothing than make scUMNO = Uncivilised Monkeys, Not Original?! Or BN = Bloody Nutters!

It is so easy to find out, you can even appear and corner Phee and demand he make a statement denying PR status for NZ.

You can even write the NZ embassy to find out.

None of you monkeys dare do so, preferring the cheap scUMNO/BN way of stirring sh*t in order that gets splashed in your monkey faces!

    Otherwise, malu lah!

Just how often do you want the sh*t you lie about shoved in your monkey faces?!

Can’t you rake your midget brains and cook up better lies?

Pua has spat on Porn Prince Chua and Porn Junior has not made the slightest whimper in his own defence of his inability with any accounting or even arithmetic skill!

The buyers of that submarine playground piece of sunken land have not bothered to give you monkeys any response to another piece you cut and paste from elsewhere.

LGE, his Taiko father, the DAP all do not give the monkey about you monkeys!

Every other sentence in poor Manglish you utter is about LGE, Betty, Rainbow, DAP… and still they don’t give a monkey!

I suggest you not do the next lie with yet another cut and paste!

      Be more original!
