Have you ever read the comments section of Malaysiakini? Then you should know what we mean when we say that Malaysiakini’s hardcore followers are racists, misogynists (that’s people who hate women) and bigots.
The kinds of comments they post makes us want to migrate to another country to escape these ugly people with ugly views. They think they are carrying on a discussion but they are just spewing hate and bigotry.
At the height of the NFC issue, they used such foul language on Shahrizat Jalil that we wondered whether Malaysiakini was read by monsters or animals.
We dislike Shahrizat too and we think her husband is a national disgrace and also her two sons. She should also resign and disappear from public instead of hanging around.
But that does not justify Malaysiakini readers/commentors for saying things like she has fondled her tits till cow milk gushed out, that she should open her legs if she wants to survive and other obscene language.
Mahathir is the favourite target of the Malaysiakini racists. They call him mamak kutty, mamak dog and balik India.
Some people tell us that the commentors are not real people in the sense that they are paid cybertroopers, mostly from the DAP, to dominate the discussion and create an impression that all Malaysians hate Umno, MCA and everything connected to the BN.
Unfortunately the greatest impression they have created is that PR supporters are racists, bigots and women haters and that the audience of Malaysiakini are the worst of Malaysian society.
Is it any wonder that Malaysiakini cannot attract enough advertisements to be self sufficient and has to crawl to PR for funding?
Which right-minded company or product would want to be associated with this kind of website, read by people who think and talk like Mat Rempits and Ah Longs?
The only people who should rush to advertise in Malaysiakini would be companies selling red paint and motorcycles that can outrace a police car. Our investigations showed that Malaysiakini gives out free advertisements – without the consent of these companies!
There used to be reasoned and rational people commenting in Malaysiakini. But as the news coverage became more one sided and the spinning became so ridiculous, the intelligent and objective readers have shrunk back from commenting.
Why be associated with this low life crowd, they must be thinking? Congratulations Malaysiakini.

There may be a secret agreement in the supreme council of UMNO that Najib pretends to be Malaysian first without declaring him as such and all others would claim to be Malay first, like Muhyuddin has done. In that way Najib can con non-Malays to vote for BN, and Muhyiddin and others would get Malay votes. Like father like son, Najib is every bit his father’s son, the father who started even before May 13 and NEP to restrict FELDA settlers to Malays only though there is nothing in Malaysian constitution which would allow him to do so. Najib might also follow his father’s footstep in reversing general election results when fewer UMNO MPs could do more to change the constitution than the days when UMNO had more MPs represented.

Did you know for example that compaints have been lodged to the UN against Taib or French courts are investigating the Scorpene scandal involving Najib. It takes others to do the work when our own independent MACC cannot do theirs.

I always feel that the number of registered voters in a particular constituent do not reflect the actual number of people staying at that constituent.

Penang Umno chairman Datuk Zainal Abidin Osman’s RM30mil defamation suit against Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and three others has been dismissed.
High Court judge Justice Amelia Tee Hong Geok Abdullah struck out the suit with costs Monday.
Lim’s lawyer Jagdeep Singh Deo said the judge upheld their preliminary objection that Zainal Abidin (pic) had no legal rights to sue the four parties as there was no proof he sued had the defendants as an office bearer of Umno.
In her 11-page written judgment, Justice Amelia said the court was of the view that Zainal Abidin was not authorised to commence civil action on behalf of Penang Umno’s liaison committee as he was not the public officer registered by the Registrar of Societies for the purpose of suing on behalf of Penang Umno.
“The plaintiff cannot, in the dying minutes, attempt to suggest that the plaintiff was mounting a representative action,” she said.
Justice Amelia said the court also ruled that representative actions cannot be taken in defamatory proceedings.
On Oct 24 last year, Zainal Abidin filed a RM30mil defamation suit against Lim and three others over an alleged defamatory statement made by Lim published in the Keadilan Daily portal in July.
Zainal named Lim (in his personal capacity), PKR, publisher Segmen Fleksibel Sdn Bhd and portal chief news editor Fazallah Pit as defendants.

The dismissal was on technical ground only, not based on merit of the case.
For example, the Appeal Court in 2004 unanimously found that Anwar Ibrahim was involved in sodomy activities, but Anwar was acquitted on technical reason that the exact dates of his activities were not certain.
This news also proved yet again that the Judiciary system in Malaysia is free of any interference.

You are right about Malaysiakini commentors. But let’s be honest, the same goes for commentors in many of the pro-UMNO/BN blogs too. It’s all the same – racists and biggots. Many of the anon UMNO bloggers are also like that. Just read Demi Negara and SatD’s blogs as examples – I do agree with their issues but not the bad language and personalised attacks they and their followers use. Somehow, I am of the opinion that they would convince the fence sitters more (and I am a fence sitter) if they argued their issues politely.
In summary I’d say that if we just hantam the Malaysiakini readers, it’s like a pot calling the kettle black.

I don’t see real socialist parties like Parti Sosialis Malaysia or the old Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM) which still exists speak much about corruption, etc, while they are anti Barisan. Pemimpin-pemimpin Umno Baru sepatutnya berkeliaran memberikan penerangan yang jika Sharizat Jalil itu seorang bidan kampung sahaja, suaminya tidak mungkin mendapat pinjaman mudah RM250 juta untuk memelihara lembu yang digunakan untuk membeli kondominium.
Yang disebut oleh pembangkang tentang rasuah dalam pembelian Scorpene itu bukannya fitnah dan jumlah setengah billion ringgit yang diterima sebagai komisyen oleh Paramekar Sdn Bhd itu bukannya fitnah. Malahan isu ini telah dijelaskan oleh pihak berkuasa Perancis.
Mengaitkan pembunuhan Altantuya dengan kepimpinan Umno Baru itu bukannya fitnah tetapi “real” dan Altantuya benar-benar mati diletupkan oleh bom C4 di Shah Alam. Memindahkan sejumlah wang sebanyak RM10 juta melalui pengurup wang yang “dubious” yang dilakukan oleh seorang Menteri Besar itu adalah benar dan itu bukannya kerja pembangkang.
Jika pun Umno Baru hendak membuat penerangan menafikannya kepada orang ramai, penafian semua isu ini terpaksa dilakukan dengan berbohong lagi. Umno Baru terpaksa berbohong untuk mengalihkan pandangan orang ramai terhadap isu itu. Kata pepatah “Umno Baru terpaksa berbohong seribu kali untuk menutupi satu pembohongan yang mereka lakukan”.
Bayangkan berbuat bohong yang telah dilakukan oleh Umno Baru, maka parti itu terpaksa berbohong beratus ribu kali untuk menutup pembohongan yang telah dilakukan puluhan tahun dahulu. Akhirnya semua tindakan pemimpin Umno Baru itu adalah pembohongan yang tidak dapat dibuang lagi. Berbohong itu sudah menjadi “attribute” yang “basic” bagi Umno Baru. Umno Baru itu bohong, bohong itu Umno Baru.
Jadi tidak salah sesiapa kenapa persepsi terhadap Umno Baru itu sangat buruk? Bagi ahli-ahli Umno Baru, untuk menutupi pembohongan pemimpin mereka bukannya kerja mudah, kerana mereka terpaksa berkongsi pembohongan yang dilakukan oleh pemimpin-pemimpin mereka. Ahli-ahli yang cuba menutup pembohongan itu tidak akan efektif kerana pembohongan yang dilakukan itu bukannya oleh mereka tetapi pemimpin-pemimpin mereka.
Hanya yang berbohong sahaja yang mungkin boleh membalikkan cerita kepada rakyat seperti yang dilakukan oleh Utusan Malaysia. Utusan beriya-iya untuk menyambung pembohongan pemimpin-pemimpin parti yang mempunyai saham di dalam syarikat percetakan itu tetapi apa yang ditulis oleh Utusan sudah tidak dihiraukan oleh orang ramai. Apabila rakyat sudah hilang keyakinan, apa pun penerangan yang diberikan oleh parti itu tidak akan diyakini oleh orang ramai lagi. Keyakinan orang ramai terhadap kepimpinan Umno Baru sangat menyeluruh dan mereka (rakyat) sudah hilang rasa hormat kepada pimpinan kita.
Contoh yang terbaru ialah kes gambar Najib di tin minuman 100 Plus semasa himpunan belia di Putrajaya baru-baru ini. Banyak pihak telah menyeru supaya kita “boycott” sahaja minuman 100 Plus kerana ada gambar PM Najib di tin minuman itu. Kempen memboikot itu sangat efektif hinggakan F&N terpaksa membuat kenyataan bahawa gambar PM Najib yang melekat pada tin 100 Plus itu hanya digunakan semasa himpunan itu dan tidak menyeluruh.
Jika gambar PM Najib di tin 100 Plus itu menyebabkan kerugian kepada F&N, itu menunjukkan yang gambar seorang PM pun tidak mempunyai nilai “commercial” langsung. Jika Najib mempunyai kewibawaan dan dihormati ramai sepatutnya gambar beliau di tin minuman itu membawa keuntungan, tetapi sebaliknya apa yang berlaku F&N menghadapi risiko diboikot oleh pengguna minuman itu.
Semuanya ini salah pembangkang lagi? Dan bukannya salah Umno Baru itu sendiri? Fikir-fikirkanlah…. Sebenarnya persepsi buruk yang dialami oleh Umno Baru itu adalah disebabkan oleh Umno Baru dan pemimpin mereka sendiri. Jangan salahkan orang lain.

I’ve heard other stories.
Firstly a former Malaysiakini insider told me that their ideology is Anarchism. Well, the Anarchists are ideological opponents of the Communists, going back to the disagreements between Karl Marx and Mikhail Bakunin.
The Anarchists believe in the overthrow of the capitalist state and the immediate abolition of the state, while the Communists believe in replacing the capitalist state with a workers’ state to resist attempts by remnants of the capitalist class from mounting a counter revolution.
The workers’ state would exist as long as opposing economic classes remain and will gradually wither away as socialist society evolves under working class rule until only a working class remains.
When this occurs and only one class remains, the society is deemed to be classless.
Unlike the conventional bourgeois (capitalist) concept of class, communists regard one’s class according to one’s economic relationship to the means of production, distribution and exchange.
A capitalist is one who owns and controls means of production (such as factories), distribution (logistics, distribution companies, retail stores, etc) and exchange and who buys the labour of proletarians.
The difference between a worker (or artisan) and a proletarian is that the former owns some means of production, such as the tools of his trade, while a proletarian own nothing except to sell his labour power to a capitalist in return for a wage.
So a plumber, electrician or the guy who cuts your grass is a worker, while a factory hand is a proletarian.
Marx believed that the primary antagonistic classes within a capitalist economy would be the capitalists and the proletarians, even though there would also be contradictions (conflicts of class interest) between capitalists and workers, peasants, petty traders, small businessmen and also workers.
This can be clearly seen in the antagonism between say a big capitalist megastore which can undercut the pricing of small businesses by their capacity to buy in bulk at cheaper unit costs.
That’s what’s behind the antagonism against Wall Mart in the US which we hear a lot about and also between sundry shops and the mega stores in Malaysia.
This is a conflict of interest between the big bourgeoisie and the petty-bourgeosie, while there also exist contradictions between petty-bourgeoisie and proletarians.
Anyway, the bottom line to the ideological difference between Anarchism and Communism can be seen by the fact that no Anarchist-led revolution has succeeded anywhere, while Communist-led ones have succeeded in several countries.
Anarchists of different flavours are found mostly in the liberal democracies of the west and they consist of a lot of disaffected middle-class people.
For example, the Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Dataran movements are mostly Anarchist in nature, with their belief in being a leaderless movement but they suffer from not having a clear ideology and direction.
One of the criticisms of the Occupy Wall Street movement is that they don’t have a clear and consistent set of demands.

Secondly, the CPM did not trust the DAP, even though they may have collaborated with it to achieve certain tactical objectives and perhaps they may have even tried to infiltrate and influence it.
Lee Kuan Yew’s PAP collaborated with the CPM activists in Singapore to get rid of the British and then turned on them and detained many CPM & Socialist Front activists and busted the CPM & Socialist Front influenced unions.
The PAP was a social democratic party and a member of the Socialist International which itself is a latter day version of the Second International, while the CPM was a party opf the Third International or what was later called the Commintern (Communist International).
It was in reality a tactical alliance, just like the US supported the Afghan Mujahideen and Al Qaeda until the Soviets left Afghanistan, then turned on its former allies. In this case, the PAP turned the tables on the Communists.
As you know, the DAP was created from the PAP in Malaysia after Singapore’s expulsion and initially retained much of its ideology, though like many social democratic parties in the world today, the DAP’s ideology has shifted towards the right, much like Britain’s New Labour Party of Tony Blair, which tends to be pro-business.
New Labour did nothing to undo the draconian anti-union laws introduced by Thatcher’s Conservatives but just gave capitalism a slightly more friendly face.
BTW. The Constitutional Democratic Rally party of Zine El Abidine Ben Ali of Tunisia was a member of the Socialist International until shortly before Zine was deposed.

You make malaysiakini sound so deep and intellectual. Are you sure the people there are anything like that all? Their reports are so shallow, just parroting whatever the DAP and PKR leaders say. There is no analysis or depth. Their reporters are just as shallow but think they are god’s answer to journalism.
The malaysiakini people have been sucked into their own propaganda. But if I were them I would be ashamed of the commentary of their readers. So crude and devoid of intellect like their reporters.

However, I wonder how you got the impression that I’m attributing such “deep and intellectual” analysis especially to Malaysiakini’s commentators, though some of its writers probably know the same thing but don’t publish it.
While a former Malaysiakini insider said was that their political philosophy is oriented towards Anarchism but from my own observations of Malaysiakini’s top people, I’d say they are basically western-oriented liberals, especially since some of them had studies in Australia, etc where they were student activists.
Also, they tend to suck up to people from western NGOs, think tanks, etc.
Anarchism is political ideology prevalent in the liberal democracies of the west and especially so among the middle class.
In this case, the term “anarchy” means the absence of rule by centralised state power – i.e. a centralised government with its state institutions – courts, police, military of any kind, whether capitalist, socialist or communist.
According to Wikipedia, early forms of Anarchism are found in the writings of Lao Tze, Zuangzi, Bao Jingyan, Diogenes, even Jesus, and later among the Protestant Christian Gerrard Winstanley, William Godwin and others.
Modern Anarchist leaders include Mikhail Bakunin, a contemporary of Karl Marx, though both were opposed to each other. Others in clude PJ Proudhon, Count Peter Kropotkin and others.
Anarchists also believe in direct democracy by people at different local levels, such as a factory, plantation, mine, housing estate, etc.
Another characteristic feature of Anarchists is their preference for taking direct action, unlike the Communists of Socialists who believe in mobilising the workers to protest and fight for their rights.
Anarchists don’t have the patience for that and believe that the mass of the workers are too complacent or inert, so they must act individually or as a small group to attack the enemy in the hope that they will serve as an example to inspire others to action.
However, due to its non-centralised, anti-authoritarian, eclectic nature, anarchist ideology is rather hard to define because there are so many different strains of it.
On the one hand, a dissident individual – basically a rebel without a cause, may describe himself or herself as an anarchist due to his or her opposition to central government or authority.
Such people will express their outrage against the injustices they see in society and their direct action usually takes the form of a negative action such as boycotting of products.
Then there are more militant Anarchists, such as those who protest WTO or World Economic Forum meetings. Such Anarchists will attack property, such as turn over newspaper vending boxes, thrash symbols of global capitalism such as Starbucks or McDonalds.
Lastly, there are Anarchists who will go so far as to assassinate business and political leaders, though their numbers are very small.
While there are left wing Anarchists who oppose capitalism, a prevalent form of Anarchism today are right wing Anarchists who often refer to themselves as libertarians.
While libertarians believe in unfettered individual freedom as long as it does not impinge upon the freedom of others, it’s economic facet is neo-liberalism which believes in unfettered capitalism, totally free markets and open borders, while it has a disdain for any form of government regulation of business, including anti-discrimination laws and affirmative action to help disadvantaged minorities, and that free market will correct these problems.
For example, the Libertarian Party of the US provided an example where if an employer discriminates against blacks, they could end up not hiring the best availanle talent and would be uncompetitive against competitors which don’t discriminate and market forces will force companies which discriminate to change their policy or go out of business.
I don’t buy that rubbish and as we can see today, it’s the anarchic nature of unfettered capitalism which has led to the economic crisis which has mired the world since 2008.
Under such a situation, two things can happen.
One is that the workers and adversely affected people revolt and overthrow capitalism and replace it with a socialist economy but I don’t see that happening due to lack of socialist of communist leadership in most countries today, unlike before and after World War II
Two is that a fascist leader will arise, just as happened in Germany and Italy in the 1930s and impose tight regulation on capitalism to protect it from its own natural tendency to excesses.
During the economic crisis of the 1930s, three countries – i.e. the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany and Mussolini’s Italy did not suffer recession, though both Germany and Italy went to war against rival colonial powers in an attempt to gain territories, resources, labour and markets.
Since 9-11, the US has been at war with small nations and with all the sabre rattling against Iran, it looks like the US may go to war in the hope of getting out of the recession or to distract its citizens’ attention from domestic problems.

What this episode also did was to highlight the utter imbecility in the Transport Ministry, whose failure to provide reliable public transport after 50-plus years of existence is scandalous.
If all these MCA ministers (since Tan Siew Sin) had any sense of shame, they would commit suicide. But since this bunch is as shameless as its Umno sponsors and overlords, we are where we are – in the pits.

Najib truly wants to be a reformer, but is constrained by the realities of his governing coalition–he relies heavily on the support of politicians who control rural provinces in a semi-feudal style. To appease rural voters, Najib and his coalition have showered them with populist policies, such as a new minimum wage that will raise incomes for an estimated 3.2 million people and a 13% pay rise for civil servants. By contrast, they have ignored Bersih’s eight demands for freer and fairer elections, such as cleaning the voter rolls of fake names.
Enacting electoral reforms would benefit the government. The coalition would probably still prevail at the ballot box because of its populism and emerge with a stronger mandate because it obtained its victory fair and square. Instead, the rulers are opting to suppress Bersih. That will only serve to stoke a political pressure cooker, deepen divisions and undercut the legitimacy of the government.
